In order for meals to be a success for everyone involved please review the information below.
Ensure troop has washed hands at Casa de Pepe.
Fill water bottles at Casa de Pepe.
Gather dunk bags/mess kits
Line up at the Lodge door and wait patiently for the Lodge Fairy to open doors.
Find your troops table and be seated
Thanks & Instructions
Lodge Fairy will dismiss tables to get in line
During the meal campers eat and talk.
All campers should stay at their tables until the end of the meal.
Listen for any Announcements or Instructions
Practice Good Manners
Take a what you will eat (take a serving and go back and get more!)
Chew with lips closed.
Finish chewing and then talk.
Keep a calm body.
Stay seated while you are eating.
Keep your cup above your plate and away from elbows.
When you are finished eating:
Stay seated until all of your Girl Scout Friends are finished.
Scrape all of your dishes into the Coffee Can using the rubber spatula. This makes it easy for our dishwashers.
Wash dishes & hang dunk bags/mess kits to dry
Clean up your area.
Clean Up
This year everyone will need to bring their dunk bags/mess kits. Everyone will be responsible for washing their own dishes.
Scrape excess food into the scrape buckets
Take all dishes to the designated wash stations
Wash, Rinse, Sanitize
Place dishes back into dunk bag/mess kits
Hang dunk bag/mess kits on the lines to dry
These are dishes owned by Camp Kirby that we may use during meals to help with serving meals.
Pass all dishes to one side of the table
Scrape excess food into the scrape buckets
Stack dishes neatly
Designate 1 or 2 people to take dishes to dish pit.
Each troop will be responsible for cleaning their table, benches, & floor under and around the table.
Designate 1 to 2 campers and 1 adult to stay and clean.
Wipe down table and benches
Sweep floor under and around table.
Return broom and other cleaning supplies
Have area checked by Lodge Fairy
