Each person attending camp must have a Health History & Permissions form on file with our Camp Nurse. Forms will be returned at the end of camp. Anything not picked up will be shredded.
Health History & Permissions Form is available on the NorthernWave website in the Required Documents section. It can also be found on the Girl Scouts of Western Washington website.
All medications (for youth AND adults) must be turned in to the Troop Leader at check-in and must be listed on the camper's health history forms. The Troop Leader will keep medications safely stored, and will assist campers with self-administering or help administer medications as needed. Please do not leave medications in your vehicle or cabin.
If the Troop Leader is not comfortable managing medications for their troop, please let us know at registration so we can arrange for the camp first aid responder to handle this instead. In that case, medications will be kept in the health hut and campers will need to coordinate their medication administration schedule with the first aid team. As a reminder, please respect others' privacy and stay out of belongings that are not your own.
Please fill out the form provided by the Encamporee staff granting permission for your scout to participate in high risk activities. Activities include slingshots (available for all ages), archery (Brownie and above), and the climbing wall (5th grade and above). All campers participating in these activities will need a completed form. Troops can obtain an editable form to fill in their arrival and departure times, as well as a troop contact person for parents to connect with during the event.
Girl Scouts requires that at least two unrelated, registered, and background-checked adults — including at least one female — are present at all Girl Scout gatherings, including camp. These two adults must not be related to one another or share a residence. Troop leaders must always be adults; youth members may never substitute for adult supervision. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Since Encamporee is an outing/camping event, the following minimum adult-to-youth ratios apply. At least two qualifying adults must be present for up to:
6 Daisy Girl Scouts
12 Brownie Girl Scouts
16 Junior Girl Scouts
20 Cadette Girl Scouts
24 Senior or Ambassador Girl Scouts
One additional registered, approved adult is required for every additional:
1–4 Daisies
1–6 Brownies
1–8 Juniors
1–10 Cadettes
1–12 Seniors or Ambassadors
Please note that some activities may have age restrictions, particularly for Daisies and Brownies, and participation will be determined accordingly.
